It seems like forever since I actually sat down to blog...it isn't because I am lacking in things to blog about...more like lacking the energy and then becoming so far behind I don't know where to begin...but enough with the excuses...on with the blogging.
I decided that since I have taken three different sets of garden pics which look nothing like the pics I took yesterday...maybe just maybe I should start with a garden update!
We have been picking cucs, beans, and zucchini either everyday or every other day with a few cherry tomatoes here and there.
Our pickings a few days ago...
As of last Thursday, I had accumulated over 15 cucumbers and so I made sour cream cucumbers and refrigerator pickles. Never enough to think about canning but too many to consume before they go bad.
We have three butternut squash that we are waiting to ripen.
Still green...
Look what I found...a watermelon that isn't the size of a nickel. We are hoping to find more hiding in the grass.
Our pumpkin!! Unfortunately, it choked out the other one that was on the same vine. Also, hoping there will be more than one of these.
This is what I picked yesterday (with Charlie's hands waiting to grab the tomatoes...he can't seem to get enough). That's right a cayenne pepper (which I don't know what I am going to go with) and a white mini pumpkin (with many more on the vines)...and yes one of the cucumbers had been missed or well hidden making it a little bigger than the rest...
