Great End To A Great Weekend

What better way to spend our last night in Albuquerque but to have a little face painting done...we relaxed a little (and showered) after our day at the Zoo then we headed downstairs for the manager's reception and to get in line for face painting. As our number got closer, Henry was getting less and less excited so when we were called I pretty much had written it off...Charlie could get something since he was a little disappointed the night before that he didn't and then we could head to dinner...
But to my surprise, Henry decided to go first and without hesitation when Jingles the Clown asked what he wanted he said "Batman" and so...

Holding very still...

Getting pretty excited...

Super Cool, Super Hero!

Charlie was next and Jingles asked him if he liked Elmo...of course he does and he exclaimed "MO MO" pointing at his wrist...so she started to draw Elmo on his wrist...which he was fine with, but when she put the brush on his face he backed away...hence the red dot on his left cheek...

Charlie also received a balloon that looked like a turtle and Jingles showed him how to make it fly so of course he was trying to make it fly...although he was mostly pulling and stretching and pinching the balloon and it eventually popped!

Charlie's Elmo!

That night we ate a nice dinner at the hotel's restaurant and the boys made masterpieces while they waited...

Henry's...(he likes to color things the correct color and will ask if he doesn't know what color that might be, since he only had four colors and everything was becoming yellow I told him he could color the elephant blue because it was kind of like gray and the green tiger well he was camouflaging)...

Charlie...I think he had more fun throwing the crayons but he did color too...

Not sick, On Vacation!!

On Friday, Henry woke up feeling kind of sick...running nose and crabby, probably achy too. So, after a long day of sightseeing he crashed in his hotel bed at 4:30pm. We tried to wake him at 6pm thinking we could just go to the restaurant downstairs but he wanted nothing to do with opening his eyes. Daddy, Charlie, and Grandma & Grandpa decided to head downstairs to hang out at the manager's reception while Momma tried to convince Henry to get out of bed.

Daddy texted to say there was a clown downstairs and we should come down...Henry agreed if he could put his "comfys" on...so Momma wasted no time with fear Henry would change his mind (and he did but was glad that he stayed downstairs after getting a turn with Jingles the Clown)!!

Henry decided he wasn't up for face paint so just a little swirly swirl on his arm please...

Blue to match his shirt and when asked if he liked glitter well of course he does...poor Daddy (he dislikes glitter very much so and he was holding Henry)

Since Henry didn't get an elaborate face painting done, he got to chose Spiderman for his balloon!!

Nothing like a balloon to make you feel just a little bit better!

Spiderman Spiderman does whatever a spider can...

Spins a wed, any size. Catches bad guys just like flies.

And yes, we brought Spiderman home with us...
