Garden Update

The night after I blogged about the plants surviving the hailstorms we had and actually starting to grow new leaves etc, it stormed again and of course hail was involved. So, I am hesitant to blog about anymore garden updates...I am so proud of how the garden is growing, I will take my chances.

Everything seems to be coming back in full bloom...the tomato plants have more blossoms on everyday, the lettuce is almost ready to be picked, and there are quite a few cucumber blossoms. Of course we can't get the grass outside of the fence to grow but inside seems to be doing quite well...I keep having to cut it back and dig it out.

We picked 2 more cherry tomatoes the other day but now will have to wait for a while since none are close to harvest.

Zucchini is getting big!

We have a cayenne pepper...I didn't really want peppers to begin with and then at the last minute I thought it would be a good idea to get a bell pepper plant. In haste I picked a pepper plant from the shelf at Walmart (marked bell pepper and didn't think twice that the shelves would be stocked incorrectly...silly silly) and didn't realize until I put it in the ground that it was NOT a green bell pepper plant...so needless to say we will be having a little more spice in our life.

Watermelons are still going strong.

Pumpkins are getting bigger.

Sunflower is getting stronger.

Henry continues to get excited when we have to water and when we get to pick tomatoes and strawberries (so far) because then he gets to eat them...
