It is official, Charlie turned 18 months old on Tuesday...can you believe it? Not quite a baby anymore, but we already knew that. He has been growing up faster than Henry seemed to...his vocabulary is expanding each day and he now puts two or three words together. As usual he is a daredevil, climbing and running, trying to do everything that big brother does. Charlie is loving the summer and being outdoors, especially the pool whether in his suit or not, if there is water in the pool his is playing in it and sometimes decides to get in...
He is constantly amazing me with his actions and words, problem solving and ability to understand and follow commands.
Example of problem solving...he wanted to watch a certain movie and decide he would get it for Momma to put in...so he brought the stool out from the bathroom...
This is why I don't like to empty this trash can...if it is empty both boys will notice and then use it for play...carrying it all over the house, putting toys in it, turning it over for a seat or a drum....and using it as a disguise...
This shows that Charlie did in fact think of this on his own (although I can't say for sure that Henry has never done this) and put it on his head all by himself...Henry could not be blamed for involvement besides banging on the can after it was on Charlie's head...
Charlie found a half of a plastic egg leftover from Easter and thought it was the most hilarious thing to hold it in his mouth and run around...He didn't even realize the real reason it was the most hilarious thing was because the egg actually covered his entire nose making him have a giant yellow clown-like nose...
New fav pal is "tato head" and many of Mr. Potato Head's parts get lost throughout the house lately forcing Charlie to carry around a potato with one arm, a green hat, and his glasses...although without eyes or ears "tato head" doesn't usually wear his glasses...someone else does...
I will have to post later with Charlie's 18 month stats since we will be traveling to Santa Fe for Daddy's knee these next two weeks, I didn't even try to get Charlie in for a well check until August. My little baby boy is growing up...
